Reading

Just finished Radio Days by Garrison Keillor and I find myself full of reluctant admiration for the man. He strikes me as a pompous phony who condescends unpleasantly to his characters, but he can certainly turn a phrase.

I've really warmed to the guy since hating his book I had to read in high school about some obscure flavor of Protestantism. I haven't read another yet, but happened to tune in to him reading "The Raven" and was inadvertently spellbound. The Altman movie was also good.
